A graveside funeral services for Bernard “Mark” Morris Chancellor Jr., 55, of Jeffersonville, Indiana will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery 6980 Danville Road Nicholasville, KY 40356.
Mark was born on October 28, 1964 to Bernard Morris Chancellor Sr. and Lila Horton (Chancellor) Yates in Louisville, Mississippi. Mark lived in Louisville, MS throughout his childhood. After he graduated high school, he attended East Central Community College. Following his time at community college, he continued his education at Meridian Jr. College and The University of West Alabama. After university, Mark joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for a number of years. During his many years serving the country, he participated in the Desert Storm Operation and received many honors including a good conduct medal, an Army achievement medal, and an overseas service ribbon. After his time in the Army, Mark continued to serve his country in the U.S. National Guard.
Mark loved nature, animals, and spending time with his family. Time spent with Mark always included lots of laughs.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Morris Chancellor Sr.; his sister, Donna Chancellor Bosarge; Nephew, Ethan Gregory Wooley; Grandparents, Walter Carl Horton, Lena Mae Horton, Hezekial Chancellor, and Mary Chancellor.
He is survived by his daughter Markie Alicia Chancellor of Louisville, KY; his mother, Lila Yates of Louisville, MS; his sister, Sharon Casey (Gordon) of Louisville, MS; and his brother Randal Chancellor of Jeffersonville,IN.
