Verna Mae Beasley, 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on March 11, 2021 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on March 9, 1952 in Garrard County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Herbert and Vernetta (Anderson) Beasley. Verna retired after many years of dedicated service for Greater Clark County Schools and was member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving daughters; Anisha Fountain, Shanna Fountain, Justine Leslie Beasley; her sister, Mary Beasley; six grandchildren, Kashia, Akeelah, Vermonta, Kavon, Zana Fountain, Demetrius Jace Tobin along with her niece, Erica Beasley and nephew, Herbert Beasley and many great nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47126. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.              

A Mother, Granny, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Cousin, an amazing Friend, and co-worker or just a bright smiling face with great advice. Momma was a humble, caring, gracious, giving, and always considerate of others.  Momma was the alpha and omega, and everything in between.  Our goddess, a brave warrior, and beautiful black queen.  Raising her family built on honesty, trust, and love.  She never missed a beat while guiding and caring for us regardless of our mistakes.  She never gave up on us or belittled anyone.  Because of you Momma we know our worth and refuse to accept anything less than that.  Because of you Ma we are strong, independent women and your Grandbabies our following our lead as we did you. There isn't ANYONE like you and this world will forever remember your presence.  You definitely made a difference in this world and we miss you like crazy Momma.  Fly high girly and get your rest.  We love and miss you whole heartedly.
